  • Get Diverted Terrace Opening Party 4-4 | Entry: £10-£20 | See More

Line Up: Terrace: DJ T. ( Get Physical Music) Samantha Blackburn – DJ Profile Elijah Collins Justin Steel and Dave Ritchie Meet. DJs

Club: Cozzy D ( Lower East ) Tred Benedict (Spilt Milk) Rob Alldritt Russell Wayne

Boudoir: Le Piscine Donna Love Killed Kassette

Get Diverted’s obligatory opening party this year brings Get Physical’s DJ T. to the much revered roof terrace alongside local hero and Lower East label head, Cozzy D.

Thomas Koch aka DJ T. has been a vital part of electronic music and club culture for over 20 years. Uniquely accomplished in both influence and scope, he has excelled in every one of his incarnations: DJ, label owner, producer, club operator, publisher and journalist. His career behind the decks began in Frankfurt, Throughout the 1990s, he was booked at all of the city’s essential clubs, including long lasting residencies at Plastik, Dorian Gray and The Box; by the end of that decade, Frankfurt, one of Europe’s epicentres of electronic dance music, had become indelibly linked with the name ‘DJ T.

    T. also founded influential German-language magazine Groove. T.’s intention, which to this day, it remains as one of Germany’s most important publications for electronic music. At the start of the millennium he and friend Patrik Dechent opened Monza, playing a decisive part in it becoming one of the City’s hotspots. In 2002 T. (along with M.A.N.D.Y and Bookashade) set up Get Physical, which is to this day one of the leading Global labels in house and techno.

Whether DJing in his hometown of 5 years, Berlin, gigging internationally, T.’s sets are invariably stirring and extraordinarily varied. T. is no style fascist, nor is he a slave to trends; he is a bass- and groove-addicted club historian, with a firm grasp of the contemporary. His sets turn years of electronic music history into one finely rendered journey, making him the perfect choice to mix “Strictly DJ T. – 25 Years of Strictly Rhythm” which is being released in the build up to Get Diverted’s Opening Party.

We are excited to welcome back Cozzy D, a Get Diverted favourite having first spun under his Ninja Cowboy’s guise in 2008 and someone whose career has shared the same upward trajectory. Pushing an eclectic taste on deep house and techno, the phrase “forward thinking” is banding around lightly but is very apt to describe his sets. Cozzy runs the highly acclaimed Lower East label and with this and his productions going from strength to strength he is a name that looks set only to grow in reputation and stature.

Tred Benedict completes our line up of guests, who you will all be familiar with from his popular Daytime terrace party “Spilt Milk”. Tred is a modern example of the rising talent emerging from the London underground music scene and will be joined by residents Samantha Blackburn, Elijah Collins – so ensure you make your Good Friday a Great Friday with the first terrace party of the summer!

Slide’s first shindig of the summer sees a return to the terrace for the first time since 2011 of the legendary Greg Wilson, spinning for 3 hours, with support across the venue from Justin Robertson, Eskimo Twins and more.

Both DJ and producer, Greg Wilson was associated with the early 80’s electro scene in the UK. Two decades on, he found himself a dedicated global gathering as part of the emerging disco renaissance. Originally known for playing funk, soul, disco, and later jazz-funk records, in 1983 he was named North’s top DJ, with his nights at Wigan Pier and Manchester’s Legend voted the regions best by Blues & Soul readers. That year he became the first DJ to mix live on British TV, put together the first UK re-edit, and taught a young Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) how to scratch. In 1984 Wilson started producing tracks rather than playing them, debuting with ‘UK Electro’ for Street Sounds. In 1994 he re-visited his electro-funk past, compiling ‘Classic Electro Mastercuts’. As well as being a DJ / producer, Wilson has also written articles for magazines including Wax Poetics, Clash and Grand Slam.

The term legend is often banded about far too easily, but in this case it is entirely accurate! Justin Robertson is a producer and DJ, who brings with him a rich history as one of the creators of the Electronic Music scene, as well as a restless need to push forward and innovate, making him one of the most relevant DJs around.

Slide regulars the Eskimo Twins warm things up for Justin in the club. Since meeting as students in Leeds, these two friends have shared their passion for music. The pair immersed themselves in the city’s clubbing and live music scenes and after discovering a mutual appreciation of Techno, Classic House, Indie, Acid and a lingering teenage love of Metal; they began making music together.

Support across the venue comes from Dom Chung, residents Henry Greenwood, Lloyd Wakeman, Steve Robinson and more.

We kick off our 2015 season with a very, very special party. Taking our much talked about collaborations to the next level we’re extremely proud to present to you a world exclusive live event in the heart of Brixton.

Way Out West After a hiatus of several years, dance music pioneers Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff return in 2015 with a fifth studio album and spectacular live show as WAY OUT WEST. Their 20 year collaborative love affair has spawned such classic killer tracks as ‘The Gift’ and in 1997 the seminal debut album ‘Way Out West’ was closely followed by the smashing follow up ‘Intensify’ in 2001. A memorable sun-kissed live show at Glastonbury in 2004 galvanised their place as true innovators and performers and their body of original work and remixes have been coveted by electronica lovers across the globe. Whether trance, progressive, tech or nu-disco the WAY OUT WEST sound is distinct and timeless. At Lost Dawn we have an exclusive first UK live show which promises to be the launch pad of a great album and one epic summer of shows from the Bristol based duo…….

16 Bit Lolitas Ariaan Olieroock & Peter Kriek, AKA 16 Bit Lolitas, are back stronger than ever this year. After a short break, in which they worked on some different non-dance projects, they partnered up again with Anjunadeep to bring you a series of strong releases in 2014 and a new album later this year. The first release, ‘Beat Organ EP’, has been received very well by fans and DJ’s all across the world, charting in Beatport’s deephouse top 10 for 5 weeks followed by the fantastic “Deep In My Soul EP’. Currently touring in the US with super group Above & Beyond we are privileged to welcome them to Lost Dawn for this debut show….
